Why do the packages have expiration dates on them, then? It’s because listing an expiration date is a legal requirement for packaged products on the market.

So, actually, even if the expiration date has passed, don't throw them away immediately! You can double-check the quality. If it’s still safe, why toss it? It would be a shame to create food waste :)
