Instead of tossing it out, why not transform your leftover rice into delicious lontong that’s ready to eat without having to cook it all over again? And the best part? It’s super easy!

Blend the leftover rice with hot water. Use 1 measuring spoon of water for every 1 scoop of rice. If using a shallow tablespoon, you can add up to 5 tablespoons of water for 1 scoop of rice. Transfer the mixture into a plastic bag, press it down firmly, and seal it tightly. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours, or until firm.

Voila! Your delicious homemade lontong is ready to enjoy with your favorite vegetables, satay, or opor. 🍚✨
