Food Rescue Award at IDAFLW 2024

Loss and Waste (IDAFLW) 2024, Badan Pangan Nasional organized the IDAFLW 2024 event on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at Pamedan Mangkunegaran Field, Solo. Carrying the theme "Stop Food Waste. For Us. For the Planet.", Bapanas also presented the Food Rescue Award to local governments, community partners, and private companies that have actively contributed to food rescue efforts.

Garda Pangan received the award as the most consistent community partner in carrying out food rescue initiatives, together with other food banks from across Indonesia. The award was presented directly by Dr. Drs. Nyoto Suwignyo, M.M, Deputy for Food Insecurity and Nutrition at Badan Pangan Nasional.

Garda Pangan also participated in the event by hosting one of the exhibition booths, where visitors learned about the organization's innovative programs, including food rescue, gleaning, food waste bioconversion using Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae, the #OGAHNYAMPAH organic waste collection service, education, workshops, research, consultancy, and food waste awareness campaigns.
