Garda Pangan - Acumen Food System Leader Fellowship

In July, Garda Pangan Co-Founder and CEO Eva Bachtiar, who was selected as a fellow of the Rockefeller Foundation–Acumen Food Systems Leadership Fellowship, had the opportunity to participate in a week-long series of activities at the beautiful Bellagio Center in Italy.

The fellowship brought together 19 leaders from around the world working on a wide range of food system issues, including regenerative agriculture, weather forecasting, sustainable diets, and food loss and waste—the issue championed by Garda Pangan. The sessions on systems leadership, along with the diverse skills and experiences shared by fellow leaders, provided valuable insights and encouraged us to continue innovating and improving our work. We also connected with other innovators working on food loss and waste, helping to strengthen a growing network of collaboration with Garda Pangan.

It was a meaningful opportunity for Garda Pangan to gain new experiences, knowledge, and skills alongside fellow food system changemakers from around the world. The fellowship has provided valuable lessons and inspiration for Garda Pangan to continue innovating, improving, and driving systemic change toward a more sustainable food system in Indonesia.
