Social Innovation Leader Award

Garda Pangan once again received an award during the 20th Anniversary Celebration of Beritajatim, held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Grand City Mall Surabaya under the theme "Merawat Kepercayaan, Mengawal Perubahan." The award was presented to Kevin Gani, Chairman of the Garda Pangan Foundation, in recognition of his role as a Social Innovation Leader. This recognition reflects Garda Pangan's contribution to preventing food waste and improving food access for underserved communities in Surabaya.

Beritajatim hopes that this award will inspire greater collaboration between the media, communities, and stakeholders in supporting sustainable development. The anniversary celebration was attended not only by members of the public, but also by representatives from industry, the business sector, and local and regional governments.

For the Chairman of the Garda Pangan Foundation, the Social Innovation Leader award is not an individual achievement, but the result of the collective efforts of many people, including volunteers and partners. Therefore, this recognition also serves as an expression of appreciation for the strong collaboration that has existed between Garda Pangan, its volunteers, and its partners since the organization was established as a food bank in East Java. Kevin Gani also hopes that this award will serve as a reminder of the importance of establishing more food banks across Indonesia as part of the effort to strengthen national food security and contribute to environmental sustainability.
