On Sunday, June 21, 2026, Garda Pangan, represented by Dedhy Bharoto Trunoyudho, Co-Founder & COO, participated as a speaker in a talk show at the Surabaya Wedding Festival (SWF) held at the Dyandra Convention Center. The festival was attended by several wedding organizers and ballroom providers in Surabaya, including Manten Planner, Kemari Organizer, Cerita Kita Wedding Organizer, Vasa Hotel, Hotel Platinum Tunjungan Surabaya, Legacy Ballroom, and other stakeholders.
During the talk show, Dedhy shared Garda Pangan's experience in rescuing surplus food from wedding receptions and similar events. He also emphasized that all surplus food is managed through strict procedures to ensure its safety and quality before being redistributed. In addition, Garda Pangan's volunteer team distributed brochures explaining the food rescue procedures, particularly for weddings and similar events.
It is hoped that this initiative will open opportunities for collaboration between Garda Pangan and wedding organizers to rescue surplus food generated from wedding events and prevent it from going to waste.
